TOONPUR KA SUPERRHERO

TOONPUR KA SUPERRHERO: First CG/Live Action Bollywood Film

It looks like a mash up of Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Spy Kids, and Looney Tunes: Back In Action.  Kireet Khurana is the director for what Eros Entertainment says is "India's first Live action -3D Animation combination feature film", Toonpur Ka Superrhero.  The film stars Ajay Devgan as a film star who doesn't get to spend much time with his kids, until one day when he is cast into the cartoon world and is forced to save their favorite cartoon.

OK, the premise isn't terribly promising.  However, the combination of live action and CG effects is really not as bad as I would have guessed.  As is to be expected, the plot is far too complicated for what is being marketed as a kids' movie, however, that has never stopped Indian filmmakers before.  I'm actually kind of looking forward to taking my son to this.

As a bonus, the film co-stars Devgan's real life spouse, Kajol, of whom I am a huge fan.

Toonpur Ka Super Hero is India's first Live action -3D Animation combination feature film. Aditya (Ajay Devgan) a reel life hero, accidentally lands in the world of cartoons and transforms into a real life hero.

There is trouble brewing in the land of cartoons - Toonpur. The good guys of Toonpur (Devtoons) and the bad guys (Toonasurs) are at constant war. That's when Devtoons decide to take superstar action hero - Aditya's help and get him down to Toonpur. But things are not as simple as the Devtoons had thought.

Toonpur Ka Superhero is an sci-fiction action-adventure genre, fun-filled film starring Ajay Devgan, Kajol and lots of toons.
